Anyone have any dealings with American Service Insurance in Elk Grove Village?
Jan 31, 2007 by SuzeY | Posted in Chicago
Q: My car got hit in a parking lot, and the person who hit me has American Work Insurance. So far, they've been obnoxious to deal with, and I haven't even gotten the car into one of their body shops for an guestimate yet. I can't imagine how badly this is going to go. Has anyone learned anything about them that can help me get through this claims proceeding before I grow old(er)?
A: This should be sarcastically fun for you. Depressing. I did some research and they are whats called a "non-standard" insurance issuer. That means they stand "risky" drivers. In fact, the following is how the Associated Newsmen describes a non standard insurer:
"Nonstandard is a polite way of describing insurers who account for risky drivers." -AP
I looked that definition up on an insurance industry statement of meaning website and found it referred to in several news articles. They are a subsidary of Kingsway Economic out of Canada. being the type of insurer they are unfortunately you are going to be in for lots of aggrevation. I got hit once by a yourselves whom had very similar insurance. They used so many little tactics (legal too) to delay paying my declare. Was just a big mess.
What about your insurance? Knowing they will have to pay to fix your car if the other bozos don't they usually will assist you in recovering. Besides... your suppositious to involve your auto insurance anyway regardless of fault. Don't go it alone. If you are and this fly by night place knows your not also working with a big insurance concern on your side they are going to delay or even skip paying your claim because they know most can't supply lawsuits like this on their own and you have no solid company backing you.

Jul 30, 2008 by Paul B | Posted in Elections
Q: Village Idiot?
McCain now blames Obama for the rifle through b revive in Gas and Oil Prices???????????
And he now sez that everyone will be able to have Health Insurance because they can get a tax credit of up to $2,500.00 to do so!!!!!!!!!!!!
What happens when you are disable and not working and do not pay takings tax like a lot of senior citizens do???????
What good are "Tax Credits" if you do not pay Takings Taxes
anyway?
A: Tinker's damn right!.......What I find appauling is that the Iraqi Prime Minister is considerable the US they need to get out and McCain has the nerve to say "no not yet we have to look good when we do a disappearing act"......It just shows that the war was never about the Iraqi people......it was always about the US oil industriousness, US projecting global power......and Pres. Bush's and the undamaged US government's arrogance...that they can go around the world and bomb whom ever they like.....regardless of the ass effort and suffering they will cause the indigenous people.......the US has become just like the British Empire!.......God reserve the Queen! lol

How do I estimate an as accurate as possible mortgage/taxes/insurance monthly payment?
May 16, 2007 by Krystina P | Posted in Renting & Real Estate
Q: I would like to identify pretty much exactly what my monthly payments will be on a home that is $69900, with $7000 down, 6.25 % interest. County, village and inculcate taxes are $3000. Thank you!
A: The Equation is as follows-
69900-7000=$62,900
The payment for a 30 year mortgage without PMI and Insurance= 387.29+250 per month in taxes = $637.29
The payment for a 20 year mortgage without PMI and insurance= 459.75+250 per month in taxes = $709.75
You should look into the under any circumstances of PMI and the approximate cost of homeowners insurance to get the most accurate cost of home ownership. Additionally you should budget another 1% the homes value for annual subvention.

Home insurance how does it work?
Mar 27, 2007 by Robert T | Posted in Insurance
Q: Hello,
My query is, does anyone know how insurance companies decide if an area has a high violation rate? Do they just go by recorded crimes that have had claims through insurance or any recorded crimes regardless?
I have been interested in getting competent in insurance as my parents don't have it for our house and I have quite a few expensive things I would like to make safe. When I tried getting quotes from some of the big home insurance company websites, the quotes were very sybaritic (double the amount my friend got) - He lives near Kings Lynn in a City, I live near to Stansted Airport in a quiet village with a population of around 250. The misdemeanour in the area is non existant. The only thing I can think of that could be causing the higher instance is there is an old lady who lives in a bungalow on the same post code as us who has been burgled 3 times no less whilst she has been in the building. THis has been the only crime in the area for years and years, I am pretty sure she does not have insurance
A: Accommodation insurance rates are basically made up from the following: Ammount of coverage, type of haunt to be insured, location of home, claims history, prior insurance, numerous discounts, what deductible is chosen and your Insurance and Financial Stability (think assign).
Claims frequency in an area is taken into account but not to the degree where a Pty will differentiate rates on a street by street basis. A wonderfull warning of claims frequency making rates higher is a coastal, cyclone prone area vs a town 150 miles inland.
The ammount of coverage is persuasion of a no brainer, a million dollars in coverage will cost more than a hundred thousand dollar skilled in to insure. Similarly some homes are constructed differently and therefore are cheaper or more costly to insure.
Not having prior insurance is probably driving your rate upwards and also not qualifying you for other discounts (such as a request free discount which had you had insurance you may have qualified for if you had no claims). Further, if you've had several claims in the whilom you obviously be rated higher since you have a tendency to file claims (valid or otherwise).
Also if you have a shame deductible you will have a higher premium and if you have high deductible it will lower your bonus.
Lastly, insurance companies do rely on an estimate of your insurance and financial stability into account while rating your rule.
Your best bet will be to sit down with an agent and ask him why your quote seems high.
Hope this helps some.

Sep 18, 2009 by Tyler E | Posted in New York City
Q: I'm inspirational to Alphabet City and I have an OLD BEAT UP car that I'm not too worried about, but the insurance is paid through February and I cipher I might as well keep it with me in the city until that runs out... My concern is whether or not I can just park on the circle or if I need to secure parking somewhere for when I'm @ my apartment. I won't even consider driving uptown, I vow! :)
A: You can garden it on the street. However, I would suggest you read the sing posted on the lamppost on your avenue to know when does the street sweeper will be passing by the neighborhood.
Good-hearted luck

AA rip off insurance??
Jul 24, 2006 by klee63 | Posted in Insurance & Registration
Q: Can't put faith AA insurance have shafted us again. My girlfriend had just asked to put me onto her insurance as a named driver and AA insurance charged her for the leave although she has full comprehensive cover. Around the same time I put her on my RAC insurance as a named driver and they didn't action us any extra fee.
Six months prior to this she informed AA insurance of our new address which AGAIN she was charged surprisingly for. When she asked for an explanation she was told it all depended on the postcode. We actually moved out from a hamlet where we had to park our cars on the road to a quiet village with a driveway. When I informed RAC insurance of the new whereabouts from the same old address I was given a rebate. STRANGE BUT TRUE.
The only thing that has changed is the talk. As for differing circumstances my fiance drives a 1.8 and I drive a 1.2 with 2 claims to my name. Both of us have 10+ driving years encounter and I get a rebate she gets charged extra for the change of address and naming a driver. I muse over it is definitely a case of over charging customers. Maybe AA are charging customers everytime someone rings in to create a change on their policy? Has anyone had a rebate recently from them?
A: I have efficient similar issues with the AA.
I avoid them completely now and told all my friends to do the same. They are CRAP!

Is it wrong to say that my family is not interested in paying for your health Insurance?
May 19, 2009 by Free at last | Posted in Politics
Q: Both myself and woman work 50-60 hrs a week, we have 1 child in private school...yet we pay for others in communal schools and we have no problem doing that.
We both put ourselves through college and both have successful careers. We have never obedient crimes, we own our own comfortable house that was purchased by our blood sweat & tears and have sacrificed more than I could file here and it's worth around 730K and we owe about 82K on it. We have one child that goes to college in one year. We have planned for this and will pay for her tuition 100% with plenty to spare.
We are not rich, we are middle class. I malice that President Obama will be asking me to help pay for others who have not earned health mindfulness. We pay about $620 per Month for health care & dental care. Yes it is very precious...anything worth wild is but don't ask my family to give to others who sit on their azz's...who didn't plan, who had children out of wed-supervision padlock, who made bad choices in life that has caused them to be losers in life. I am NOT interested in subsidizing bad behavior.
Is it go downhill for us who pay around 89k a year in federal taxes, $8,900 in property taxes, 22K in Form taxes, $6,300 per year in city taxes, 2.3% in sales tax and numerous other TAXES
to pay AGAIN for someone else's vigour Insurance?
It doesn't take an ENTIRE village to raise a child....it takes ONLY
two loving, caring parents who are dedicated to THEIR daughter
Bash, first off I served in the military for 12 years.
2nd: You and your husband never responsibility for any rights I have
A: Thumbs UP!

Heap warns lack of funding may shut down Sparta Civic Center By Ron Cammel | The Lofty Rapids Press November 09, 2009, 11:44PM
SPARTA -- The company operating Sparta Civic Center is ready to call it quits, having tried for years to manufacture enough money to pay the bills.
"We're tired of beating our head against the rampart trying to make this thing a go," said Gary Temperamental, vice president of the center's advisory committee.
He said the center, 5 N. Uniting St., collects about $800 a month in rental fees, but spends $1,300 in utilities and insurance.
"If we don't find any better, we may shut it down by spring," Moody told the Village Council.
Village Superintendent Sharon DeLange will check with an attorney to see if the village can purchase the construction inexpensively and make it part of Rogers Park.
"I'd hate to see that erection be used for anything but the Civic Center," she said.
The building has provided low-set someone back or free space for community groups since 1958.
