When Do You Start Taking Dental / Vision Insurance For Kids ?
Nov 23, 2007 by Cheers2U | Posted in Toddler & Preschooler
At what age do you catalogue your kids in dental, vision insurance ? I have a 3 yr old. Isn't it too early for her dental cleanups ? For vision I covenant she could develop difficulty in seeing anytime but can I take her to her PCP for that ?
my 17 months old has been to the eye doctor to check up on for lazy eye and the insurance was helpful for sure.
As for dental....you are already behind the curve. They hanker after to start seeing babies at 12 months or with their first tooth. I equitable brought my daughter in to the dentist for the first time as an emergency when I noticed her tooth turning louring (which I thought was from a falling injury but was really stained from iron supplements). If she would have needed a totally origins canal plus other stuff it would have been thousands and I was thanking God she was on my dental insurance!! I wouldn't be tabled....
literally you're about a yr late on her dental. As for vision, if there are no concerns than you can wait until about 5 (kindergarten/first state.

We are planning on captivating our daughter for her first dental checkup at two. At three years old she has teeth and could already have cavities starting, so I remember the dentist would be a good idea. She likely won't be having $1000+ family tree canals and stuff though, so the dental insurance might cost more than it is really worth. I don't actually know about the vision part.

Well when I was in the pudding club I went to the dentist and hadnt been in 7 years. He was giving me a hard beat and told me that I better come back. And then he made a joke about atleast it wouldnt be in 3 years not 7 when my insignificant one was here. So I would say around 3. But it would probably also depend on when all of their teeth come in.

Many pediatric dentists promote dental appointments as soon as baby teeth erupt - which can be 6 months of age.
Mine says 12 months of age. By three the should most for all be going to the dentist!

Can You Use Multiple Vision Insurance Plans At The Eye Doctor?
Feb 02, 2008 by JayDog | Posted in Insurance
I visited the eye doctor recently and was affluent to purchase new glasses. I have a vision plan through my employer, additional vision insurance through my wife's corporation, and a small benefit as part of my basic health insurance.
The sales person intelligent me I could only use one insurance, as per insurance regulations. This came as a surprise, since my wife visited the same office six months ago and had no question using her primary and secondary insurance sources.
Is this person being truthful?
Well, they might be saying, we will only BILL one insurance entourage.
But that means if you want to file multiple claims, feel exempted from.
It's not likely to cover you the way you expect it to, though.

limitations on what frames you can prefer.
Well some frames outlay hundreds. Often, optical plans will cover basic type frames, but if you hunger designer frames, you pay for them.
