My Girlfriend Got Into A Car Accident And Her Insurance Was Only Liability And It Was In Her Fathers Name And?
May 24, 2008 by latzky | Posted in Insurance & Registration
My girlfriend got into a car accident and her insurance was only burden and it was in her fathers name and the other driver whom was at fault has no insurance the bills are coming in what should she do?
The collapse was to her father, the owner of the car. He can sue the other driver. (Hope there is a police report/court if it should happen establishing fault.) Girlfriend is not out anything (not her car). She can pay the bills or boardwalk away; it's daddy's problem. Maybe he will pay the car repair bills for her. You didn't refer to any medical costs to her. if there were any, she can sue the other driver for those.
Perhaps she should talk to daddy? Also, did she call the control when this accident occurred? If the police don't have a record of the accident, she's screwed.

take an oath the other person to pay,if he or she doesn't, go to court.

Shes unquestionably going to have to take the driver at fault to small claims court. With any luck her car repair will not exceed the state's small claim limits.
But I take on oneself this was her father's car as it was his insurance? He will have to be involved in each step as he is the registered owner of the vehicle and he also is the one that can be held inclined so any decision needs to be his.
Keep in mind that because she was not at fault does not mean a court will find she was not at oversight. Make sure she has photos of the vehicled, photos of the location of the accident so she can addequately describe how the accident happened.
Discern sure she files the proper accident forms with the DMV if her father's insurance company did not. On the whole the insurance company handles it but if she didn't inform them she'll need to do it herself. She can lose her sanction if the forms are not filed promptly.

the other driver was at blemish then she pays but its after you sue them for money but yet that still dont get you a car or pay your bill s now and if they didnt have money to buy insurance they dont have the wampum to pay your bills so your screwed either way

Car Accident In Spet 2008, Car Insurance Paid Only Little On The Medical Bills?
Jan 14, 2009 by jesse james | Posted in Insurance & Registration
they saying my medical insurance should take carefulness of the remaining amount because i had coverage only for $2500. should i ask the guy who created the accident to pay for it or his insurance? please let me know what to do if my medical insurance does not pay the uneaten amount fully.
Sounds like you have only Medical Payment coverage on your tactics and the limits of $2500 have been exhausted.
Yes, you can contact the other party's insurance company and column a claim. I am a bit surprised they have not contacted you to date if their insured was at fault for the accident.
Anyway, call and let them recognize you have outstanding medical expenses. If they accept liability, they will reimburse you for these expenses.
If the accident was the other guys fuss contact his insurance company, they have coverage for BI or Bodily Injury. They have to pay out up to the state minimum.

I intend the answer will depend on which state you live in, if it is no fault, and what the tort limits are. Depending on your suffice for you may not be able to recover anything other than what your insurance company pays you.
I wonder how many people who are always asking "what's the cheapest insurance...?" ever review the posts like yours asking why won't my insurance pay...

If you already had healthiness insurance they should help you cover some of the cost, your insurance company will only cover what it says in the squeeze.

If I Only Report An Accident But Not Make A Claim, Should The Insurance Company Be Allowed To Raise My Rates?
Dec 01, 2006 by Thomas L | Posted in Insurance & Registration
I was in two accidents in the last year and a half one principal and one minor. I only made a claim for the major accident but I just got a new car and now the insurance company has jacked up my rates again saying it was because I was in two accidents. I only reported the insignificant accident as a formality so I don't think I should be punished for it. In fact, the driver I hit was probably uninsured because she never called me back. Should I twitch insurance companies or are they actually allowed to do this?
So you had an accident, but you categorically didn't?
That's basically what you're saying.
Just because you didn't turn in a command doesn't mean you're the kind of risk you want to be rated under. You had an accident, you can't play-act you didn't.
why write-up a accident at all unless you want $ compensation??????????//

They are allowed to by law. Also if the accident is not your misbehaviour to blame, you get enough on your record and they are allowed to raise your rates. Unconstitutional to me, but so far they haven't had any alarm getting away with it. :-)
mohavedesert | Dec 01, 2006
this is permissible, it's not necessarily how many claims you file, it's also HOW you drive, if you were involved in 2 accidents then you must be doing something incorrect, ie speeding, tailgating, etc and you should pay a higher rate than someone who has a clean driving list, you are a higher risk
