How Many Employees At GEICO Are Insurance Sales Agents?
Feb 09, 2008 by thomaswis | Posted in Insurance
I am looking for the party of sales agents at GEICO in the US. These would be call-center type employees that provide insurance quotes and handle policies. I have heard that GEICO has 20-30K customer service agents; this legions probably includes the sales agents as well.
I am doing this for a graduate research invent on direct marketing.
Perhaps there is a GEICO employee or ex-employee that could help me out?
I would bring up contacting GEICO's PR dept. Hopefully, they have someone who can call you back and talk.
Send a email as well, but be secure to make a call during regular business hours. Make it very clear that you are a scholar at X university, in X major doing a paper on GEICO's acheivements in point marketing. They will offer to send you an investment package, which won't be very useful, but see if you can ask some well inclined questions, or talk to someone with some history at the company in the marketing arena.
You are savvy to post here as well. Try some marketing forums as well, and don't forget to talk to GEICO competitors as well (Left-winger, etc.). Great topic, BTW. There is a lot of marketing chatter about GEICO.

If A Person On A Bike Hits A Pedestrian, How Do They Work Insurance And Legal Issues Out?
Nov 20, 2008 by poorstudent | Posted in Law & Ethics
Depressing, it's sort of a long story:
I'm a college student and I was on on my way to my morning classification and I was riding my bike on the sidewalk because that's what I've always done and what most people around campus do, I wasn't speeding, but this guy was benevolent of in the middle of the sidewalk more on the left side and I slowed down and I thought he heard that I was coming so i moved to the just because there was more space but then all of a sudden he stepped to the right and I ran right into him. The front of my bike made a slit in his calf. I rushed him to my apartment, trying to call the campus police to give us a kill when my roommate showed up and we drove him to the medical center. I stayed waiting while he went in, he ended up getting 7 stitches, and helped him out and his comrade even gave me a ride back to my apartment. I told him that I felt really bad and would pay for the co-pay on all the medical bills and if his insurance wouldn't protect against it, I'd pay the bills too and we agreed to wait until all the procedures were done so I could pay all of it at once.
So he went in for a few appointments after, to get the stitches removed and everything. Then he came to me with all the bills that came out to 520 dollars. He complained a dollop about how he had to miss a week of class, but I was there and the nurses gave him crutches and said he could get around peachy. We both have the same insurance plan through the university and I told him the insurance should probably cover everything. So I paid him the co-pay and said I'd look into how much his insurance would engulf. I called the office and they said everything was 100% covered by the insurance. So, I called him, formerly larboard a message saying all the bills were taken care of and that again I was really deplorable.
He called me right now saying the wound had reopened a little and that he had to go back in to get things solid. Then he said he wanted to demand payment for personal loss because he distraught a week of school, now had a scar, and that it wasn't his responsibility and his insurance had covered his wreck that I had caused.
So now I'm scared and confused. Can he sue me? I was doing some research online and it said that sometimes if a themselves had insurance their company would cover the money but then would come after me to regain their money, but we have the SAME insurance players so how does that work? would they want me to pay for it out of my pocket(because that's money that i don't have!!)?
What is the best way to make up one's mind this situation?
A in the flesh on foot has the right of way from a bike. Just like if the bike was a car. Same insurance public limited company? No, you do not have to pay your insurance company out of pocket. That is why you paid your premiums - to cover accidents. Your insurance business will pay the injured party's Medical, and time loss FROM WORK. The ourselves was not earning income at school. Can't blame a boy from tryin'... Desist from dealing with this guy. You gave him your insurance info? That is all you need to do. You are a student also so what does he map out on getting? He can not take your student loans. He will have no outstanding hospital bills to take you into court with so take it easy. His expenses are covered. If he wants to sue you he's going to have to find an attorney that will do it. They don't work for out and they are not going to go after someone that they aren't sure they will get paid for. Resolve this matter by losing your self-condemnation. Stop talking to this guy. He can talk to the insurance company. NOT YOU! Go to class and ignore his phone calls. His insurance IS your insurance. He needs a living and you know its time to kick him out of yours.
Have you ever heard the stretch "ambulance chaser?" Well that means a personal wound lawyer. Someone who sues the bejebbers out of everyone within a 5 mile radius of an accident.
You lack a lawyer. You are probably toast.

It doesn't importance if you both have the same insurance. You are treated the same way as you would be if you had different insurance. With you causing the accident you could be held liable.
In a lawyer. Very often they will give you the first consult free.

Bicycles are considered vehicles of the procedure. They are included in the road laws.
First, you can be charged with riding a vehicle on the footpath (Maximum tire size is 12 inches). Second, you can be charged with be of the opinion endangerment. Third, you can be charged with hitting a pedestrian. (Honestly, there's a whole host of charges the boys in blue could lay on you hoping something sticks.)
Also, you hit a pedestrian. No matter what, you're responsible. That's how the police see it. That's how the insurance assemblage will see it. (Sucks eh? Stupid laws protecting stupid, casual people)
So how this works is.. they will pay for the medical bills and compensation. Then they will turn around and assemble your premium because you're now a high risk (you hit a pedestrian with a vehicle with the result being bodily maltreat).
Deal with it. And hope to the gods he doesn't decide to press charges.

It depends on the provisions of the insurance actors.
The injured person can't demand compensation from you if the insurance company is paying for it. If possible the insurance company could demand reimbursement from you; you will have to ask them about that. You might call the insurance company about that. But since you already called them, I'm guessing they won't hunger for anything from you.
Now, if the guy wants to demand compensation for pain and suffering or missing classes, when he in reality had crutches and could go to class, I doubt he would get very far. He would have to hire a lawyer, and a lawyer isn't liable to to take a case that won't even pay for his/her time. If he tries taking it to Small Claims Court, they don't do retributive damages, only actual monetary damages. And he doesn't have any, since the insurance pays everything.
So I don't conceive of he knows what he's talking about.
I gather that the police didn't give you any tickets or place in order any criminal charges. You might have been breaking the law by riding your bike on the sidewalk, but that isn't the issuance here.

Well first of all you have to know what Uncle tom means, Uncle tom does not only number people of color but anyone who tries to please, in other words a brown nosier. Now if you certain anything about Nader he is not a raciest and when he said that he stuck to his guns he did not have to apologize because he did not use in in a ethnic context the man is Lebanese and a first generation American and has helped out all minorities. whats positively odd is that the media didn't want to put the spotlight on him so they never made a big deal. the media and the two parties don't neediness people know anything about Nader so they talk crap about him and try to keep him and his campaigns out of the on.
as large as he has been in govt, if his resume was short i'd be surprised
but he said some pretty ...perverse things
he pretty much called obama an uncle tom...weird...never knew nader was in all booming for the african ppl
