Dog Insurance?

Okay I am planning on getting a puppy. This will be my first dog so Im looking into getting medical insurance. Will this obviate me more money in the long run? Does the insurance cover the whole bill or partial, how does this travail?? Thanks any info will really help.

It depends on where you go.
I Have VPI and i pay 30 a month for my cat. This covers a definite amount for what you do.
Go to petinsurance.com and get a free quote and see what you can be covered with. I know they dont pay the whole trend but its better than you paying the whole thing

It depends on which firm you go through. Type 'pet insurance' into a search engine and start comparing...most companies give outspoken quotes online.

ETA: I have Pet's Best and I pay 67$ a month for two dogs and two cats.

I take it it does. When the insurance programs first came out, I had a kitten and the insurance covered all of her shots and her spaying, etc. It might not account for 100% but after the initial first year of shots and spaying, you could cancel if you fancy.

Also, if there is any health issue with your animal down the line, which happens, it can get covered as well. My cat had a tomato on her ear (a hemoglobin thingy) from something and bolt from! It was covered. :)

Many may not have to use pet insurance, but one day you may necessary it if something drastic happens to your cat's health. If your new puppy is certified to be in good condition, you may not need it.

yes get insurance, coz vet bills are so serious if anything happens. It would be the worst thing if somthing bad happend like your dog got run over coz if you cant pay the bill the dog will have to be put down. We are talking 1000's if a dog insolvent a leg or something. I go with tescos pet insurance it costs me £5.40 a month. my dog was playing in the garden and eat a bumbly bee, his shabby head swelled up 3times its normal size and he went into disgust. At the time he wasnt insured and i was lucky my mum paid the vets bill coz i never had the gelt. So after that day i got he insured.

Can Anyone Recommend The Best Insurance For My Dog?

I have a working trace cocker spaniel puppy who is currently 11 weeks old.

I’ve been advised that some insurance providers do not quilt working dogs. I’ve also been told that some cover expires after 12 months with no attest to of renewal, and you may be cut off at the end of the year if your dog has developed a long-term illness needing overpriced drugs or surgery.

Can anyone point me towards a good dog insurance provider in the UK that isn’t too expensive? Express you!

Ask your vet for recommendations.. They'll understand which insurance companies are best to work with and which are unreasonable.

What Is The Best And Cheapest Dog Insurance?

Hi my dog is 10 years old Im struggling to get a correct deal on pet insurance for her. I know because of her age everything costs more :/

I would support getting quotes at a bunch of different sites to quickly find out which is "cheapest". Of certainly, a bigger concern should be which gives you back the best benefits.

I have Trupanion with my dog and I found them to excellent fit my needs. They cover 90% and they don't have any annual limits or claim limits, so you don't have to badger about capping out with a really expensive bill. They also don't increase your premiums for filing claims (no penalties). They let you select your deductible from $0 to $1000. Changing the deductible changes the premiums, so you might fall short of to check that out and choose a deductible and monthly premium that fit your budget.

There are so many variables, not one will be cheaper for everyone as then the others would go out of province. It depends on what breed of dog you have, different breed = different price. Also depends what you do with it if you show it also increases outlay. Best advice is to ring round then once you find a decent one see if anyone else will beat it. Investigate it like car or home insurance. My dogs are with direct line if you wanna try ringing them.
