Only if Reid is the one who did the arm twisting will it be considered a preexisting circumstances.

No but old age will be which is when preexisting conditions can be predicted for all. the 50+ under medicare age will be priced out of insurance.
And when 300 million people have to buy crappy, sway designed insurance under penalty of law, that isn't business as usual, it is a huge new corporate happiness program at our expense.
DAR | Sep 30, 2009
You can ban using preexisting conditions without sway owned and operated health insurance.
You can allow people to buy insurance across state lines without having any supervision owned and operated health insurance.
You can vastly expand the types of groups that can be unwed to purchase group insurance without government owned and operated health insurance.
If you sorrow about real REFORM you can go ahead and do all of these things and more very quickly without any government choice.
If all you cared about is greater expansion of government control over the lives of citizens, greater oversight debt, and a future where the government controls all health care except that of the very plenty, then I suppose you could consider it business as usual.

It certainly helps, but the fact is that nothing fully prepares you to be President of the United States.
Obama is on those committees, and yes he is chairman of the Subcommittee on European affairs, but he never ever called a appointment. He has bragged several times about being on other subcommittee investigations, but truth in broadcasting showed that he missed the meetings on the committees when they voted on those issues. To explanation your question, they have advisors that prepare them for the debates.

Why Did Senate Dems Vote Against Amendment To Guarantee That Americans Keep The Current Insurance?
Sep 28, 2009 by Obama Hood - Spread the Wealth | Posted in Politics
I thought Obama said we could keep our insurance. Why not a pledge? Why did democrats vote this amendment down?
WASHINGTON – In a vote that should send chills up the spicule of those satisfied with their current health insurance, Democrats in the Senate Finance Committee today rejected a Republican rectification that would allow Americans to keep their current health care coverage.
Sponsored by U.S. Senator Orrin Dream up (R-UT), the amendment stated that the implementation of the final health care bill would not take regard unless the Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS) was able to guarantee before Congress that the legislation would not cause more than 1,000,000 Americans to lose their simultaneous coverage.
The amendment was rejected 10-13, with all Republican Senators voting in favor and all Democrats voting against.
Because the democrats thirst a single payer system. They are not even going to try and kid people any more. They are all socialist.

never certitude was a democrat says...always , always go by their actions.....democrats are empty on ethics and full of BS. always.
S H I R A Z | Sep 28, 2009
pitiable i would have to read the amendment before blaming anyone. If it contained anything that gave tax dollars to insurance companies then the Democrats would not have backed it and the Republicans would have fallen all over themselves to uphold it.
Jim | Sep 28, 2009
Because it isn't needed and introducing pointless, nonsensical amendments is common Republican delaying tactic.
Why offer insurance reform then shield insurance companies for doing it?

They want a also clientage option. That will eventually become the ONLY option.
