We have a 1965 classic mustang and wish for to insure it for it's restored value.
OK, now, purloin sure you know what the policy says. Most "stated amount" policies pay THE LESSER OF verified cash value, or stated value. And in order to get an AGREED VALUE clause, you requirement an appraisal. It's NOT how much it cost you to restore it, it's a true appraisal.
Now, who's got the best? It's a tossup, between American Collectors and Haggarty Ins. They both do a Tickety-boo classic car policy, but both require that there are no operators under 25, and that every household member has their OWN vehcile to have in mind, and, of course, that you keep this one in a locked garage, and put less than 2500 miles on it.
To have your 65 Mustang insured up its restored value, most insurance companies will plea a current and valid appraisel of the vehicle. To find a low cost insurance provider, Yahoo search "classic car insurance" or something alike resemble, and you will have a selection of insurance companies that specialize in the classic car market. Also some quote sites, if you accommodate them with minimal information, will farm out your request to several insurance companies who will compete for your problem and send you back a proposal offer so they can do the "shopping" for you. Most suitable of luck to you!

May 19, 2008 by That_Guy | Posted in Insurance & Registration
I have a 1979 chevy malibu and i hankering to be able to have it and my winter car on the road. I want to find like a cheap classic car insurance for it so i can pay for both insurances. a lover of mine was telling me you can get it really cheap ccause its a clasic. Anyone know of any?
JC Taylor, Condon & Skelly or Hagarty. Memorialize, they will require that you have a full time regular use vehicle for every driver in your household. The pre-eminent use of the classic vehicle will need to be shows & parades. You will not be allowed to drive it to profession or use it every day. They will check the mileage on every renewal. Usually they will allow about 2500 to 3000 miles per year. They will also demand photos & appraisal for proof of value. The vehicle will be required to have full coverage. It is at insurance, but it is cheap for a reason. These companies are very strict on the use of the vehicle. I believe you will also requirement to have a good driving record.
Yes, try JCTaylor or Hagerty. They are about $150 a year if you private road only a few thousand miles a year and keep it garaged.

Is Classic Car Insurance Cheaper?
Jul 03, 2007 by VAN D | Posted in Insurance & Registration
point of view about buying 1967 Camaro and was wondering if it was my primary vehicle would the car ins. be cheaper? Anyone comprehend?
Classic car insurance is very for twopence, but due to this they have STRICT regulations. To insure the vehicle on a classic policy, all drivers in the household must have a original use vehicle (one car for each driver) that is NOT the classic car. The classic car must be used primarily for car shows & parades & normally has a peak annual mileage limitation of about 2500 miles. It CANNOT be used to herd to & from work.
So, if this will be your primary vehicle, you must insure it on a regular auto action. Due to the age, if you want comprehensive & collision coverage (which I'm sure you do since I'm pretty positive you didn't get this cheap), you will have to have an appraisal of the vehicle (by a classic car expert) and insure it with a stated value. This is the summit they will pay for the vehicle (for a covered loss less the deductible & they can pay LESS if the condition of the vehicle warrents this) so if the value keeps usual up, you will have to have it appraised regularly and keep increasing the stated value on the insurance. If you do stated value, some companies injunction as if it was a new model year (as an example - if the car is worth $20,000, they will charge you premiums like a 2007 beau id worth $20,000 because the year of the car figures into the rates).
Call around, get rates. Ask your bruited about insurance company.
i had it on a older scale model dodge and it only cost me around 138 bucks a year, and they said initiative it any where i wanted to,but there was limitations on the type weather you could drive it in,no snow, and no bad stand, but other than that i drove it all over the place, they didn't care about the mileage though,it was grundysinsurance.com.was who i had it with, its authentic insurance to have and it had full coverage on it also, good luck with it hope this helps.

it depends on what well-meaning of insurance you are looking for if you want basic liability (actual cash value) its miserly but if you want a stated value policy which will basically cover what you put into the vehicles good, will cost more so it could run pretty high.
