May 15, 2007 by Juanita S | Posted in Insurance
Doing inspect into which life insurance companies are good to work with. Is there a list of the top or best ones?
Nope. Top means something remarkable to lots of people. Biggest sellers? Most policyholders? Fewest complaints with the nation? Fastest claims service? Fewest claims denied? Highest pay for salespeope? Most demonstrative to working moms?
I would authenticate out the A M Best website. They rate insurance companies.

I would find out out your state's Department of Insurance website. On their site you should find links (Consumer links) that are designed to pinch you with not only the purchase of life insurance but other types of insurance that is available in your state.
Because the site was designed by the Division of Insurance you should be able to find answers to your questions that are not partial to any one company.
Also you should be able to find advice on this site regarding the different types of life insurance available. Don't be sold something you don't lack. Know what you need before you get a quote.
Other sites you also can check out is AM Best (www.ambest.com), Weis (http://www.weissratings.com), Touchstone & Poor's (www.standardandpoors.com).

How Does Progressive Compare Your Insurance Rates With Top Companies?
Aug 31, 2008 by DC | Posted in Insurance
How is that accomplishable? I've applied for Progressive quotes before (and wasn't impressed at all), but how are they able to do that?
Insurance companies all have complex formulas that are worn to calculate rates using several factors, including driving story, location, credit, household drivers, vehicles, etc.
Unless they have robots online that skulk competitors' bandwidth and automatically fill out the forms, it doesn't seem possible. If that was the envelope, you would think other companies would block Progressive from abusing their servers.
Any ideas?
Since the at all events books become a matter of public record once they are filed in the state, they do like their event does and gets a copy.
All they are doing is using the tables they accommodate to guess what your coverage might be. They may use a worst case scenario or a best trunk.
The formula's are not really as complex as you might think.
Inusrance companies are required to case their rates with the state insurance commissioner, where they then become public record. Someone from Progressive, goes down and gets the type information.
Progressive isn't stealing rates.
BUT, those rates they're quoting you, aren't binding, either.
