Will A Person Lose Their SSI Benefits & Medicare By Getting An Automobile Accident Insurance Settlement?
Aug 09, 2009 by confused | Posted in Insurance
A living soul I know is afraid of going thru with an Injury suit caused by an automobile blunder - because they believe that the money will disqualify them from the benefits of Supplemental Social Security (they are scuppered) and Medicare? Anybody know??
No. Those benefits are based on the inability, not the income or assets. The settlement will have no bearing.

where will the settling payment go? in the bank?
if it does SSI will check and find you have more than you are allowed to have and cut it off
Medicare will not be affected by your insurance elimination

I'm 68 , Have Good Insurance Benefits With Employer. Can I Have Medicare Too?
Mar 24, 2006 by flowergirl669 | Posted in Men's Health
My train insurance premiums have risen just recently and since I know I'm eligible for Medicare, I stress to know if I can have Medicare as a secondary insurance (both part A & B).
Medicare would be a appendage to your insurance. What happens for instance: say you were an inpatient in the hospital... Medicare will pay for the first 3 or 7 days depending on where u tangible your insurance pays for the rest. Your insurance pays 4 what medicare doesn't. Exceptions are hospice and renal decline. In that instance your insurance is primary carrier for 33 months and then medicare kicks in.
Unflinching you will have the insurance with the employer as your first insurance to file and then Medicare can be the secondary policy, but in dealing with my father's medical issues Medicare never paid anything after the first system paid all it would pay and getting the doctor to write it off as Medicare non-allowed was futile.

Yeah you can have medicare only if you are eligable
for it.When you go to audition they are going to ask for paystubs etc and see how mush you make if you make to much (and still want medicare)then you might have to pay about 60% of it everytime you go for a inhibition-up.

Does Part Of My Deduction For Medicare Benefits Go To My Security Blue Insurance?
Mar 26, 2009 by ROBERT | Posted in Insurance
In a arched-about way yes, it does. Your Part B premium goes into the Medicare general fund, and the payment to Pledge Blue come out of that same fund.
