Are Office Visits To Doctors Controlled By The Government, Insurance Or The Free Market?

Insurance and government. Plainly not the consumer. My Dad's a cardiac surgeon, my grandfather's an ob/gyn, my husband is an m.d. but works in banking because of the stupefying amount of b.s. associated with practicing medicine.
In the US, most are controlled by the insurance companies, though some doctors have a say to some extent -- especially for exclusive patients.
In countries with socialized medicine (universal health sorrow) the govt takes over the role of the insurance company.

I don't remember. Maybe it's a stretch, but I think it's because people call the appointment desk and ask for an nomination. I could be wrong though.

They are controlled by the individuals making the visits.
Doctors and pharma are more controlled by the government, leading to the high cost.

It's unengaged market. You can go to any doctor you want. However, there is the matter of payment. Insurance companies have a rota of doctors in their network, if you have insurance you have to visit these doctors to get them to pay for most of it. Some insurance companies do offer moderate coverage for out-of-network doctors. Government plays no role in this.

If this is legit, then why are they sending out postcards with stamps, shouldn't it be printed on the postcard like all finished companies?
I'm also asking the same cast doubt upon. They used the same location but the STE was 301 instead.i try ed yellow pages and i ponder they might not be a legitimate business.

If Government Programs And Even Private Health Insurance, Pay Way Below The Real Costs Of Doctor's Office?

visits, the expense of laboratory work, the cost of radiologic tests, etc. then how do hospitals proceed with to function? Wouldn't they always end up in the red and thus at a loss?
But wouldn't those hospitals close down, as they can't pay the bills?
Bub, so hospitals are in reality making a profit? How - if you're treating Medicaid and Medicare patients?
Many of them are in the red.

people can pay for cigarettes and sharp wine, they can pay for all but catostrophic healthcare.

That's the big hornet's nest. They already lose money on medicare patients. If government runs it all it will squash all new developments for new treatments and new drugs. Swiftly now USA attracts the best doctors and treatment from around the world, this will end when government steps in.

Most hospitals and Doctors turn plenty of money. They would just like to make more. That is why insurance ties their hands on prices.
Bub | Jun 13, 2009
If they are in the red then that office will go out of role and there will be fewer choices. Less competition will mean poorer care.
