Can Some One Please Tell Me How Much One Pays In National Insurance In UK? Flat Rate Or Percentage?
Nov 11, 2006 by Franco | Posted in United Kingdom
If it is a share, is it on the gross salary?
Also how much is it for self employd people?
Sorry for too many questions. They will distress a real expert on these matters
NI is charged as a lacking perspective rate of 11% to an employee and 12.8% to the employer. (This is reduced to 9.4% for a contracted out wage-earner and either 9.3% or 11.8% for the employer where the employee is contracted out.)
If you earn less than a assured amount then you don't pay NI, the Lower Earnings Limit. Any money you earn above a certain amount you don't pay NI on, this amount is called the Upper Earnings Limit.
More info and some figures and quite an example in the source.
http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/ is a great website for any UK tax interdependent questions. (National Insurance is a special type of type.) It will explain contracting out if you sine qua non to know about that.
all depends on your earnings,on customary i pay £175/190 a month!!

if self employed you would pay £2.10 a week, then you would pay 8 % on earnings above about £4,800 a year

a opportune, rough guide, is to say that one quater, thats 25%, of your Gross pay, will go, due to tax and national insurance.
National insurance, is adjusted, in tandem with tax, that is, the same gross figure, used for both, not one, after the other, on whats left.

Class 1 is for employed: sort 2 is for self-employed, who also pay class 4 if their earnings are above a certain amount.

What Will Be The Actual Tax Rate In The UK From Next April?
Jun 05, 2009 by beechescomposter | Posted in United Kingdom
Captivating into account the loss of personal allowances, nominal income tax rate and national insurance what rate will someone earning between £100K and 113K pa be paying after next April
The physical allowance will be reduced by £1 for every £2 that the person's total revenues exceeds £100,000 until it is reduced to nil.
The 50% rate of tax will only apply to those with income over £150k, so the accepted 20% and 40% tax bands will stay. the amount of personal allowances and the rate bands for 2010-11 have not yet been announced.
