Public Liability Insurance & Professional Qualifications?

Hi
I acquaint with pole dancing and need to get public liability insurance as I am leaving the company I currently familiarize for (and whose insurance I am currently covered by). Do I need any professional qualifications to hold public liability insurance?
No such qualifications along specifically for pole dancing, but I could do Exercise to Music or something similar. I have not done this yet as I have years of acquaintance in dancing and exercise so feel it would teach me nothing new, but would be more than happy to do it if my insurance was dependant on it.
Get hold of an independent agent in your area. An independent agent represents more than one convention so they can contact insurance companies that specialize in providing insurance for fitness professionals.
There are several companies that will at write this type of insurance so it should not be a problem securing the coverage.
no you dont ask for anyform of qualifications to obtain PL insurance, its standard insurance for anyone working in, with or around the public.

There are several companies that will on short notice write this type of insurance so it should not be a problem securing the coverage.

No, you don't have occasion for any proffesional qualifications. My husband is a street performer and is required to have public liability and has no qualifications. Attractive thorough luck

No, do not neediness any professional qualification to get public liability insurance.
I arranged cover recently for someone doing the same line of profession. the premium was around £300 for £1,000,0000 cover.

No you do not penury any qualifications to purchase / hold public liability insurance.
Essentially public liability will cover you in the unfortunate as it that legal proceedings are brought against you by a customer or a member of the public following mischief or damage to their property. This cover is available for anybody whether you are a window cleaner through to a flagstaff dancer like yourself.

'cheapest' and 'most gainful' are not necessarily the same. However I find a good broker is the best way to navigate the maze of policies, exclusions, inclusions, etc.
My intermediary is HERA Indemnity and they have always proved excellent - on the odd occasion I've gone elsewhere for a excerpt theyve still come up trumps for me.

The best clothes policy for you will depend on your location and your particular situation. There are many factors which go into the rate of the insurance, such as how long you've been operating and the exposure you have. The only way to get commercial insurance is through an agent; you cannot go directly to the companies. Most of the time, though, you can't get this kind of coverage shortly. You have to use an agent, who can shop it out for you. So if you have a local professional organization, join it, and start with the envoy they recommend. If not, find a local, independent agent - www.iiaa.org is a great website for that - and talk to them about getting quotes.

A alter ego of mine is going to be DJ'ing at my wedding. The venue have said that this is fine and he is going tho convey his own equipment which he is hiring separately. The venue have said he needs to manufacture a Public Liability Insurance Certificate.
This is not his normal job he is just doing it as a one off favour.
Any idea how hie gets one? I have looked on score but it all seems to be for professional or self employed people/businesses.
Public or Encyclopedic Liability insurance can be tricky if you have never purchased or researched it before. Speak to a local independent insurance spokesman and they can get your friend a quote. You may be able to get by with a policy called a Special Episode Policy which may be cheaper than for him to get a General Liability policy which typically runs for a year at a continuously. Start with whoever writes your Homeowners/Auto insurance and they can either council you on this or recommend someone who can.

Methinks this is because you are not using the venues own DJ so they like to cosset things difficult...just ring an independent insurance broker and ask how you should go about it.....it shouldn't fetch that much.......although it will all add to your own costs....and you may find it is cheaper to use the venues DJ after all.

It is the venue which has to have the public liability insurance. By the sounds of things, I would advocate checking with the venue that they have suitable cover for public liability. They have to display the certificate in a squelch where the public can see it. You can ask to be directed to its location at the venue.
You can then ask why it is not going to be renewed at the next renewal!

he's active to have to get one through an insurance agent as if he is self-employed. it's simply a liability issue for the venue (but charitable of strange one since most venues have their own insurance to cover that sort of thing) should anything happen to someone attending the incident due to him or his equipment. i'm not sure if it's cheaper, but i think he can also get himself "bonded" and that would also toil (done through an insurance agent also)

Phone a neighbourhood broker. I am aware that 'LeisureInsure' offer cover for DJs, but you have to go through a broker. Any solicitous local broker should be able to sort you out.
