Yep, the claim insurance websites for the "tri state" areas.
Keep in mind, there are at least seven unlike areas of the USA, where there are three states touching and call themselves the "tri state area". So, if you're talking about WV, OH, and PA, go to the Ohio Insurance subdivision website, and you can get a list of all insurance companies licensed to sell homeowners in Ohio. Ditto for WV and PA. And there are HUNDREDS. But the websites are listed at the insurance put one's faith website.

Car253 gave you a use list. I would rate State Farm first by a long shot. Stay away from Farmers at all get! And remember....you get what you pay for.

Does A Person Have To Buy Homeowners Insurance?
Jun 12, 2007 by gobble gobble | Posted in Insurance
Abject if this is a dumb question. I am not planning to buy a house for a few years as I am still in school. The item is I have a pet chow chow and I understand that chows are on the "black list" and many homeowners insurance companies will not insure people who own these dogs. I am troublesome to find a company that will though so if you know of any could you please tell me? Thanks for the help.
Never heard of a impress upon insurance company asking if you even have a dog, so I am sure it would be no problem. However, if you have a mortgage the Bank in the main insists that you have insurance.

I assume allstate was the company my mom used... We have a pit bull and german shepard (both foul listed) find another breed that looks like yours and use that name. I used Malinois and Staffordshire Bull Terrier. You could use Keeshond or Schipperke. The first looks alot like it and the impaired has a longer face and pointy ears. Good Luck!
No it's not required to buy insurance but it is better to get it . If someone hurts themself at your theatre because say your porch is uneven, they can sue. Something to think about.

There aren't any. A comrades like Foremost will insure a home, with a dog EXCLUSION on it - in other words, they won't shelter the chow. Or ANY dog, if it bites. But they charge a lot more for their policies.
Chows are prohibited breeds with every friends I've ever worked with. They are extremely territorial.
Homeowners insurance is only required by contract - if you pay cash for a blood, you don't have to buy it. Most landlord rental contracts ALSO require you to have it (tenant homeowners insurance).
I know some lodgings in Indiana was talking about making "certain breed" dog owners do mandatory liabiltiy insurance, but I have NO idea how they would enforce it, as no insurance company wants to insure "definite breed" dogs.

as hanker as you are responsible pet owner and insurance agent knows you and dog you should not have problem. my husband i absolutly honour rottweilers which in many places are breed banned. my rottweiler is couch potato, and loves everything in her yard with peculiarity of birds. my insurance agent's wife worked in same building as i, and had actually met her (dog). our first insurance gathering (state farm) did not want to insure us because of dog. we lied. then we changed after close earthquake (we lived 3 miles from epicenter in alabama) they jumped standing on us. we jumped ship to alfa. introduce your dog to agent, you shouldn't have such difficult after that. it is owner that makes dog bad not dog's fault.

No one wants to insure someone who has a dog that is on a prohibited list. It doesn't dream any difference if your agent meets the dog or not. And DO NOT lie on the application and tell them you have a different paradigm of dog. If you do this you are materially misrepresenting yourself at the time of application. If you have a claim, the company can say that since you lied they can emptiness your policy. Don't take the chance. Call around and see if you can find a company that will insure that type of dog. You are going to have to make out a lot of calls or call Foremost. They will do a dog exclusion and insure the house.

Can I Have 2 Mortgagees Listed On My Homeowners Insurance?
Apr 12, 2009 by Challenged_in_Temecula | Posted in Insurance
I have a mortgage credit. I also have a HELOC through my credit union. On my homeowners ins, I currently have this mortgage company listed as mortgagee. My commendation union wants to be listed as mortgagee. I can have 2 mortgagees on one homeowners ins policy?
Yes, you have a first mortgagee, and a secondarily. I've actually written a few policies with FOUR mortgagees listed. It's not horribly unprecedented to see three, and two are actually pretty common.
Yes; however when a probe is issued to you for a loss (over a certain amount), it will have you and both mortgage companies listed. It can sometimes be a call into to get all parties to sign off on the check.

Well, years ago when I had 2 mortgages on this homestead, we did list 2 mortgage holders, simply by putting a comma after the first and listing the second.
However we discovered that the insurance assemblage put both addresses on the envelope and sent it out to whoever the post office delivered it to. We discovered that the insurance party had no program to generate multiple notices, even when they had the multiple mortgages listed.
This taught me that one has to substantiate with your insurance company that they can and will handle it properly.
Once I brought it up with them, my insurer did arrange for multiple mortgages. It seems they discovered that they had almost 3% of their policies had multiples. at least 2.

Yes, certainly
