What Information About The Insurance Industry Would Help Me In An Interview?
Jan 07, 2008 by JK Nation | Posted in Insurance
I have an evaluate for an actuarial position coming up. I'm pretty solid on probability, statistics, etc; but I don't be versed a lot about insurance in general. Anybody have a good, solid answer that could give me some info accepted into the interview?
You don't miss to. People don't expect actuaries to be sparkly conversationists.
Person insurance is the only one that you can measure out accurately with statistics and probability. They don't know when your house will smoulder down, or when you will be in a car accident, or when you get sick, but they do know when you are going to die by using mortality tables. That should grounds you some points. Good luck.

Curious About The Insurance Industry For A Career?
Dec 10, 2007 by Robert H | Posted in Other - Careers & Employment
What is confusing in being in the Insurance Industry as a representative for companies?
The only feeling that is needed is a lot of perseverance. When you're selling insurance, you're gonna be subjected to hearing the chat "no" a whole lot. Selling insurance is a commission-only job, meaning that you get paid only if you supply a lot of insurance. You'll either have to do it in-house (at the place of business) or in the field (going door-to-door). If you're someone who loves being told "no" over and over again, then selling insurance is aptly for you. And the majority of companies you deal with want you to take a class to get licensed to rep insurance for them. You pay a ridiculous amount of money and spend about 6-8 weels taking these classes honourable to get certified before you get started.

Why Bother To Complain About The Health Insurance Industry?
Jun 12, 2009 by Medicare? | Posted in Other - Politics & Government
Either pay what you are told or do not get stricken, right?
The as a matter of actual fact that too many people have your attitude about this subject is why the insurance is so expensive in the first place. If people banned together and said "enough is enough" over overpriced and ludicrous health care costs, the prices would go down and you wouldn't have to just "not get shocking," which is a ridiculous suggestion. Everyone should be able to afford it.

No use to groan. Price go up, up and up. Medical insurance just for rich and the young and healthy. They call it cherry picking. You quite cannot get no insurance. Millions will die in the next couple of years. They want to get rid of those people who they don't like.

Why does everyone moan about the health insurance industry?
It is the outrageous prices charged by doctors, hospitals, and treat companies that are way out of hand.
Insurance companies actually keep them accountable.
Ever compare an "Insured price" vs a "Non-insured cost?" Non-insured is way higher. Why is that? Way higher than already preposterous.

Know Senate Health Reform By Its Opponents
22.12.09
Progressives could take some skimpy measure of comfort from the beating it is taking from its opponents elsewhere on the governmental spectrum.
While the devil is more in the details in this legislation than in even most others, progressives customarily have two overarching arguments against the Senate bill.
One is that the abortion provisions within the bill further away a woman's right to terminate a pregnancy.
The other is that without a blatant option, federally run healthcare plan, the coverage mandates amount to a big payoff to the insurance industry.
I'm not usual to pretend to be a technical expert on the actual legislative parlance of either of those two aspects of the reform package.
What I can do is offer some political calculus that may sell some perspective that may have gotten lost in the forest for for the trees.
First, on the abortion enquiry, I've been unable to find a single anti-abortion sort that is even a bit cheered by the Senate bill.
