How Can I Advertise My Business Without Using My Home Address? UK
Aug 12, 2008 by Laura C | Posted in Small Business
I am bothersome to advertise my own business - an active listening/counselling service, where I would see clients for an initial assessment and visit them either in their home or a place of their choosing. I have a webpage, e-send and mobile phone for arranging appointments, plus all relevant qualifications and insurance, however I am verdict it hard to advertise as local newspapers say that they would need to publish my home whereabouts as I am offering a service.
I can understand if this is a legal requirement, and am happy to give them my home lecture, but I dont want it published because of the nature of my work.
Any ideas how I can get around this quandary or what I can do? They wont accept a PO Box if I were to set one up or let me place an advert under "work wanted" either.
Any ideas where else I can advertise in my limited area? I live in Scotland. I have placed a few free on-line adverts but no good so far!
Many thanks
I would offer to advertise your counselling business on the internet, if you really have constrains with the peculiar newspapers to do so. I do understand that initially it may attract fewer clients, but, once your clients start seeking appointments and they are satisfied with your counselling, your calling will gradually increase through personal contacts of such clients.
Wish you all the unsurpassed and every success in your counselling business. So long.
Why not let out an address that you can give as your business address?
It shouldn't cost much to rent a mailing speak and you can then give this as the address your business operates from.
You wouldn't be renting any office break, just an address facility.

Slash an address...on top of solving your problem, it will also give extra prestige to your business.

STATIC CARAVAN/MOBILE HOME GROUND RENT Please Help!!?
Mar 14, 2008 by BlackKitty14 | Posted in London
How much is the normally price in uk to pay ground rent on a static caravan or mobile homw please? In dorset/hampshire district aswell and how much is insurance? cheapest? and council tax although it will only be lived in for 6-10 months of the year. How much would hot drinking-water, gas and electric cost on average to? please help, all answers welcome, thanks so much
I must confess that I cannot give prices for Dorset/Hampshire but for our static in South Wales we have to pay approx. £2000 per year for prepare rent and insurance. On top of that last year we had to pay about £220 for electricity which, bearing in mind we literally only stayed there for about 15 nights during the year, is rather a lot but most of this was accounted for by the standing accusation for electricity which we had to pay daily, even when not there. On top of that we had to pay £20 for each bottle of gas for heating, hot water and cooking. Each cut off would last about 7 days. In fact, we found it so expensive (as we were not able to visit more often) that we have given up on the van.
The split we paid was, as I understand it, very low compared with sites in more desirable areas. Our friends pay around £6000 per year for a seaside site in Devon and they recoup some of this by letting it out when they aren't there.

Hiya
I labour at a static caravan dealer in Yorkshire. Obviously I can not be sure of the rents around that arrondissement, but from my own personal experience they can be anything between £1000 to £3000 a year, dependant on the facilities on the purlieus and the location. For example a small site with nothing but pitches will be cheaper than one which has a clubhouse and launderette etc.
You say it will be lived in...most sites, unless they are unobstructed for 12 months and are classed as residential require proof of another home where you are paying congregation tax as the 'holiday' site must ensure that people aren't avoiding paying cabinet tax!
Insurance varies depending on the type you need...eg new for old...type and value of the van. Anything between £100 to £400 quid. Most sites will be short of you to have insurance though.
Cost of running really depends on the type of van...like a family...a 28x10 is cheaper to heat than a 40x12...if its double glazed it keeps the inspirit in better...! Electric is normally charged at local rates, not ineluctable if there are still sites that do this but please ensure you go on a site where the electric is metered for your van only and not just the row of vans...cos simply if theres someone there who has electric heaters on all day you could be paying for it!
Gas...some places have piped which I cogitate on tends to be slightly cheaper. Bottled gas is normally cheaper to buy away from the plot if the site you choose provides it... I think, don't quote me on this, people habitually use a bottle a month in summer, and maybe 2 a month in winter if they have key heating. It really does depend on the usage though. You'd be better looking rough a few parks and asking park wardens as they will have a good idea of the costs.
Also...find the greensward, before the caravan...as park owners are quite picky...can only have certain models, sizes, colours, etc.
One more item, as a dealer, I know that there are RRP's on vans...please be aware of this if you are going to the high advantage holiday camps...on average they are about 10k over the RRP...and they don't give you an extra 10k when you sell it back to them.
Buying a flak is not an investment...most parks have age limits...usually around 15-20 years...and by that dated the van you bought for anything between 15k - 50k when new will be worth about £1000 maximum and possibly more when part exchanging...
Passable luck with it and if you need any more advice please don't hesitate to gimme a shout!

Much of the take to one's bed of the world seems plagued with similar cataracts that keep it from noticing the chasm of difference between what Obama says and what he actually does. The Nobel Panel awarded the 2009 Peace Prize to the very person who dropped the most bombs and killed the most ill-fated people on the planet during that year. The same guy who started a new war in Pakistan, beefed up the perpetual war in Afghanistan, and continues to threaten Iran with attack unless Iran cops to phony US-Israeli charges of affair nuclear weapons facilities. It's weapons of mass doing in all over again. Somewhere in the whole fracas has been forgotten that Iran has been calling for a nuclear unaffected by zone in the Middle East since 1974. Iran has also been regular in its position that "petroleum is a noble material, much too valuable to blaze for electricity," and that nuclear energy makes much more tail, given that our food supply, whether we like it or not, is fundamentally dependent
