Is Supplemental Medicare Insurance Worth The Cost?

It seems I'm paying more of the cost now than before I had insurance.
In public and over the long term - Yes. After deductibles and co-insurance Medicare pays only 57% of the norm seniors' health care cost.
What you'll pay depends on your situation and on which insurance you have. You have the choice between an current Medicare Supplement and a Medicare Advantage plan. The Supplement has plans A through L. The Interest plan could be an HMO, PPO, POS, PFFS, MSA, SNP, Cost, or Pace plan and many have a low or even a $0 premium. If you have the oppress plan for your situation you could be paying more than you need to be paying.
You shouldn't be! Keep catch and see how it works out.
If you have plenty of money and net worth, you can afford to risk not carrying this coverage. If you are not well off, you need it to protect you from high bills if you are seriously ill.

Supplemental Insurance?
Nov 12, 2007 by animal_mother | Posted in Insurance
I for some basic info about supplemental Health Insurance (Short-term disability). I'm planning on getting up the spout soon and my isurance at work kinda sucks. I would like to be off for at least 8 weeks with the newborn, but still need my income! Any tips, general cost of getting individual insurance for that, etc. I'm easy on the eyes clueless about how it works. Thanks!
You're not marvellous likely to find any insurance policy that will do what you're asking...especially not if you're planning to get pregnant "ultimately."
Take the money you would have tried to use on a premium and start setting it aside now, so that you'll have capital to cover expenses for those 8 weeks you'd like to take off after the baby is born.
Individual short term disability coverage doesn't include parenthood coverage. If you find a policy, by any slim chance that does, likely you'll have to manage successfully it a year before you get PREGNANT, in order for the pregnancy to be covered.
It's going to be cheaper for you to valid set aside $50 a week for your "maternity leave" savings.

Handicap is very expensive, and in your situation you're not going to find a company who already knows it will be paying out funds for your pregnancy. This understanding should have been thought of long before.
