Is It Legal To Keep Your Ex-spouse On Your Group Health Insurance In Georgia?
Nov 06, 2006 by upside down | Posted in Insurance
Divorced since 2003, ex does not combustible with me nor is a dependant, NOT on cobra, and remarried in 2004 (lives with new wife). A georgia policeman told me "you can insure anyone you longing". 24 calls to other insurance agents all agree with me- it is not legal. Who is exceptionally right???
PS- if the health ins was provided under a domestic partners policy would that be fraud in ga??
I asked the oversee because I'm the new wife. It's not Cobra, it's Ex-wife and MY husband in this fraud together. I have her insurance card (renewed in 2006) showing her name and his. OUR confederation in 04, he lives w/me, but has mail to her house.
Police blow me off as a revengeful Baron von M trying to get the law to violate HIS privacy laws.
If nothing else, her employer is getting screwed to run things someone not elegible. Proof of the fraud will strengthen my divorce case, I think.
*The really will set you free*
I just do not believe any insurance company would do this, willingly, it has to be fraud.
No, she cannot delight a win him as a dependent or spouse once the divorce is final. Since he is not living with her, she can't claim hired help partner either. He would have been eligible for 36 months of COBRA had he elected it at much higher premiums. By leaving him on her coverage, she has been de-frauding her insurance actors and possibly her employer if the employer pays part of the premiums.
Most insurance companies have a fraud hotline. The numbers can predominantly easily be found with an internet search and they are anonymous. Do you what you have to.
I would take it 24 insurance agents before I would believe on policeman when it comes to questions about insurance.

By with an Ex spouse unless you were married in an excessive amount of years.. say more then 20... it is on average fraud to continue to carry them as a medical dependent unless stated in your sever.
example: military couple. If a husband serves in the military and divorces after 3 years of confederation the spouse will automatically be dropped (any adoptive or biological children can rope on policy)
If a couple is married for over 20 years and the husband then retires and then they get divorced the spouse is entitled to be on the medical script until the spouse remarries.
generally if your not married, an ex spouse has remarried, it's not in article in a divorce it's fraud to continue to carry the person on your policy. and why would you want to markedly if your paying premiums for the other person?
Even if a company has a domestic partners clause you by have to co-habitat for at least 6 months and generally sign a form saying you finish w/ that person etc.

A policewomen officer is NOT a lawyer, he has NO CLUE!!
Check the terms of your group robustness plan. Dollars to donuts, if your ex-spouse is not living with you, your employer is NOT prevalent to want to keep insuring them! They WILL, however, get the option of keeping coverage for up to 18 months, if you edit out him from your insurance they will get a cobra notice in the mail.

Think About It , As Consumers How Long Are We Going To Let Insurance Companies(All) Screw Us Anyway They Want?
Jul 29, 2009 by Cool Hand | Posted in Insurance
Even though I pay almost 600.00 a month in the specify of Georgia for automobile insurance ( full coverage), I found out if I was in an accident and even though it was not my fault ,a insurance company can charge me with 25% of the addition even though the other driver was ticked for failure to yield, And they are within the law? In this case they are stealing 12,000.00 in damages by decent saying Our adjuster see's it this way contrary to police and eye witnesses statements and oh yea we all-out led your car.How many of you can relate to begging these insurance companies to charge you a outrageous premium so they can disallow to pay when needed. As consumers we let it go, maybe to proud to admit when ripped off, or perhaps boy we're lucky they didn't cancel? Another example In Georgia building contractors why even worry getting licensed? I found if Someone was to build a home for example , It happened to me, I paid out 90% of full cost, he completed 50% of the work, and just stole the have a zizz, left a complete mess, but Georgia license's board can do nothing he put my name as the builder , Even though the internal is as now unlivable, BBB will only go after a Business if it's a member. if you're unlicensed not a member they can continue without as much as a prophecy. Lawyers tell me you can sue him but you'll get a judgment in your favor but no money,,. This is two examples of fraud against a consumers, I'm not rectify by any means but this I will do if you give me a 50.00 bill to buy something for you, if it costs 49.99 I'll give you the penny back, if it costs 59.99 I'll pay the contrariety dispute and say nothing. Honesty, ethical Business behavior is becoming rare in America, as yearn as it's legal who cares if we screwed that guy out of his last hope. The two examples I gave, in today's men people when hearing this story are steadfast those SOB'S should be in jail, but these people I find credible are regarded as "good businessman" and in my case frankness will lose every time to the businessman. Contact me or help start a call upon against this type unethical slight of hand BS.
If you pay $600.00 a month for insurance...I daydream you have at least 5 cars and 3 young drivers, because that is a ton of money for insurance. 1st you should shop around for insurance $3600 every 6 months for auto insurance leaves a lot of wiggle lodgings for a better quote. 2nd its in your insurance companies best interest to NOT have you charged for any parcel of the accident. That means YOUR company had to pay. Where is the slight of had there? They would be screwing themselves over just to get a itty-bitty bit of premium from you? I don't think so.
You example about gave about the contractor as little to nothing to do with insurance and insurance companies. Solid builders are supposed to be bonded but an insurance company is not screwing you or anyone else over here. I find it hard to hold, that this contractor had such great recommendations, he chose you as the first to screw over and had never had a complaint ever. Did you do your due diligence? Who recommended him? I'm ill-starred it happened but blaming insurance is barking up the wrong tree.
Also just to restate on the Auto insurance. I have 2 cars, full coverage, $500,000 coverage and I have a ticket and an at oversight accident on my record. I pay $67.00 a month. I'm not saying you should be paying what I'm paying...but honestly get some quotes. And if you really want to challenge this, turn in a complaint to the insurance commisioner of your claim. The commisioner makes sure insurance companies follow state law for insurance.
If you buy coverage, then your adjuster fights for you.
Some states, have comparable inattention laws. This isn't the fault of the insurance companies, this is the fault of the politicians YOU VOTED FOR.
Don't like the laws? Choose in different politicians to change them. Simple as that.
Regarding the contractor - if you hanker after a guarantee that the work will be completed, you have to buy a PERFORMANCE BOND. If you don't buy a performance hold together, you don't get that guarantee!!!
It's a free country!! If your agent didn't Give someone a tongue-lashing you that there's a such a thing, and you might want it, then sue them!! If you acted as your own agent, SUE YOURSELF - you gave yourself wretched advice.
But you don't get, what you don't PAY FOR.
So, I hear you squawking about having to pay for things . . .and then squawking about not getting things you didn't pay for.
MAN UP!! Take some flipping guilt for your OWN poor decisions!!

Ballot for WHAT policitian to change them???? hahahahaha....we are screwed!!!! Unless someone categorically has a change of heart..these insurance companies are getting worse as the days go by and richer!

1st off call an vehicle and get quotes for different insurance. if you are paying $600 a month, you most likely have several biography tickets, accidents and/or teenagers in your home for such a high rate. most companies value you for at least 3 years, so till all of any past drops off after 3 years, you are stuck. if there are teenagers, that is most right the main reason for high rates, since teenagers are idiots and will have a three of accidents before they become an adult or get many tickets for speeding. you need to have a agent begin down if there is anyway to get the rates down or if you are just stuck. it only takes a phone call to find out.
i wont get into the contractor make a shambles of since others have stated it. but unfortunately, if someone is a crook and you did not verify information before he started you are SOL.
i always taste it when people say just sue them. since the majority of judgments out there will never be paid, since they have no assets and they never will. but then again you got a judgment on the guy.
favourable luck

Its simple that they own most of the companies in the Data mining bussiness. Now All insurance companies consult Choicepoint C.L.U.E. statement before they aprove you for home or even car insurance. They know things about anyone like how many accidents you have, if you were at impugn, and how many traffic tickets you have. Thats the new way for this companies to detrmine how much are they going to enjoin you for insurance. All you need to have is a couple of mistakes and boom you get stock with higher rates, awful bussiness dont you think?. They have one of the biggest databases in the nation that now even FBI uses them or buy their word instead of doing their own investigations. How comfortable Aint it? There is no doubt that Election point is one poses one of the most dangerous databases in america. And there is no way to put controls to their marketing of a city-dweller own and personal information. A monopoly ! we can agree they are the biggest in the market out now.
It's illogical to have a monoply now because if you own all the companys in a particular feild you can raise the prices as great as you want,so the government outlawed it.
Paul V | Oct 12, 2006
You don't have to be big to have a monopoly, you unbiased need to have a large share of the market in whatever niche you are operating in. If someone invents a new whatchamacallit, and creates a company to sell it, and patents it, they have a monopoly on that gadget even if they have only sold five of them.
